[How To] Resume Broken Links with IDM (Internet Download Manager)

If your modem gets disconnected or your system accidentally shut down or the Source leeched File you were downloading gets deleted and you try to resume the download that can’t be resumed, you’ll get a message like this >> “When trying to resume the download, Internet Download Manager got a response from the server that it doesn't support resuming the download." It’s possible that it’s a temporary error of the server, and you will be able to resume the file at a later time, but at this time IDM can download this file from the beginning.

 Now If IDM Says > “Do you want to download it from the beginning “.  Select "NO". Follow the following steps to resume your links.

 Now your stopped Download looks like this:
Step 1: Right Click on it and Select "STOP DOWNLOAD" as shown. 



Step 2: Now Select "Refresh Download Address" as shown.
Step 3: Now IDM will open a dialogue box like this and open a website in your Default Browser. Close the website it opened. But DO NOT CLOSE the WAITING DIALOGUE BOX which looks like the one shown below.
Step 4: Now get your link Leeched again at http://arabtrick.net/. Now Click on your leeched link like the one shown.
Step 5: If IDM recognizes your link it will display a dialogue box as shown below. Select OK.  If it will not recognize link. IDM will ask "Is this the new address for your expired download?". Select Yes.


Step 6:  Now Select Resume Download as show below.


Step 7: Your Download will now resume. Enjoy your download and Do not forget to thank Us.

Mass Google Plus Invite






Here is a neat little trick to bring everyone from your Facebook account’s social graph into Google Plus account:
  1. Sign up for a Yahoo! Mail account, and import all of your Facebook contacts. Click “Contacts” at the top, and then “Import Contacts”. Authorize Facebook access to your Yahoo! address book.
  2. Log in to Google Plus (http://plus.google.com) and navigate to your “Circles” (https://plus.google.com/circles).
  3. Click “Find and Invite”, and then click Yahoo! Import your Facebook friends to the “Suggestions” section.
Drag everyone into the appropriate “Circle”.

Change Alt+Tab Thumbnail Size in Windows 7





                When Microsoft released Windows Vista they had a lot of great innovations in it despite the constant complaints people had with the OS. One of the best things that came out of Vista is Aero, which is what powers the Flip 3D (Windows Key + Tab), the Taskbar thumbnails, the blurred border around all the windows, the thumbnails used in Alt+Tab, and more. Those things are all great, but I’ve always felt that the thumbnails in the Alt+Tab popup are sometimes too small to even be useful. I mean if you have multiple Windows Explorer windows open it’s hard to distinguish between them using a thumbnail that’s barely bigger than a postage stamp.

How To Extract Audio from Videos


            In the past I’ve had people ask me how they can extract the audio from a video they have on their computer. Most of the time it’s because they have a video of a live concert performance (one that’s professionally recorded) and they want a way to put it on their iPod without needing to throw the whole video on there.
There are all kinds of ways you can accomplish this, and there are even some web services that will do it for you. The downside to the web services is that they normally have a size limit as to how large the video can be, and so you may be better off with a desktop app like Pazera Free Audio Extractor. It’s simple to use, can handle a wide array of video formats, and is pretty fast at the conversion. Here’s a list of supported input and output formats:
  • Supported Video Formats (Input): AVI, FLV, MP4, MPG, MOV, RM, 3GP, WMV, VOB and more
  • Supported Audio Formats (Output): MP3, AAC, AC3, WMA, FLAC, OGG and WAV
Since this app supports FLV files you could technically find YouTube videos or most other online videos, download them, and then extract their audio. The only downfall to this is that the audio quality may not always be the best, but it may be worth a shot since the app is free.

What Is The Bitrate? What You Should Know About It.



With the term “bitrate” we face at the mention of audio and video formats. To understand this term, you must master the process of compressing and encoding files. German scientists have laid the general principle of file compression with minimal loss. On the example of coding the original MP3 sound file is cut into fragments, the duration of 50 milliseconds, each of which is analyzed separately. In the analysis of the fragment is decomposed into harmonics of the Fourier method, of which, in accordance with the theory of sound perception by the human ear thrown those harmonics that people perceive worse than the rest. These are quieter harmonics on the back of the higher ones. As a result, emitted sounds are masked due to the inertia of hearing. The information about the harmonics left after filtering and recorded in the MP3 file, which results in a much smaller than the original WAV.
WAV-file contains detailed information about the original sound, digitized and quantized with a frequency of 44kHz. This information is stored on ordinary audio-CD. When playing there is the inverse transformation, in which the remaining harmonic is re-converted into sound waves. Some of the information about the original signal was lost, because the sound is not identical to the original. But throwing irrelevant sounds, so the human ear cannot distinguish the signal from the original order, which was packed to MP3.
Bitrate is the amount of information per unit time. Its essence – how much information about every second of recording we can spend. Naturally, as it is smaller, the smaller the size of the files have the same length of time, thus will have to throw more “extra” harmonics. Bitrates are units of measurement – kilobits per second (Kbps) and megabits per second (Mbps). MP3 audio compression algorithm is often used with 128 kbps compression. They are of two types: fixed and variable. For example, when a video compression is used with a constant bitrate a fixed amount of data is used to encode a second film. In the case of variable bitrate the codec installs eigenvalue bitrate depending on the scenes of the movie. For example, when encoding to mpeg the gain in compression is mostly obtained by retaining only the difference between adjacent frames. During a slow scene change the difference between frames is small and thus can reduce the amount of a bit rate required for playback of these scenes. However, with the abrupt change of scenes in the film, the differences in staffing increase dramatically in size and require more bitrate to play such scenes. In contrast to the constant bit rate, at a variable one cannot predict the size of the output file, it depends on the ratio of “fast” and “slow” scenes in the film.
Regarding to radio online, the downloadable sound quality of radio stations with the network also can be analyzed by bitrate. The choice between 48kbps and 128 kbps bit rate, I hope, will introduce you to a long meditation.
